Healthy plants start with healthy soil. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll break down the basics of soil science in a simple, practical way, no prior knowledge needed. You’ll learn what soil is made of, why soil health matters, and how it directly affects plant growth in your garden or containers.
Participants will take part in a guided potting soil mixing activity, where we’ll discuss common soil ingredients, how to choose the right mix, and how to adjust soil for different plants. Time permitting, we’ll wrap up with a short walk through the garden to observe soil in action and talk about real-world examples of healthy soil.
This workshop is perfect for home gardeners, beginners, and anyone looking to build stronger foundations for their plants—literally from the ground up.
Although we are not open to the public on a daily basis, you can view our dynamic, breathtaking property through tours, events, or by taking one of our camps or classes.
