Matius is a French artist from Haute-Provence, active in the 1970s, celebrated for his Brutalist and Pop-Art wall sculptures. He is best known for creating illuminated relief panels and wall lights from "fractal resin". By sending an electric current through the resin, he achieved a striking, illuminated crystal or cracked-ice aesthetic.
