Frostproof, FL

I'm a metal artist and sculptor based in rural Frostproof, Florida. Working with steel and stainless steel, I enjoy creating works that question the ordinary. I take inspiration from all directions including nature, music and poetry. I'm drawn to creating large-scale sculptures that challenge both material and myself. I find purpose in the physical challenge: cutting, grinding, bending, and welding until the flat lifeless metal starts to transform... from work to work of art.

In "A New Dance," a sandhill crane steps into an unexpected rhythm-not the ritualized courtship of its kind, but a deliberate, human-like performance. Its poised body and lifted wings echo the grace of a ballet dancer, balanced between wild instinct and conscious choice. This work speaks to self-reinvention-to breaking away from the choreography written by expectation, heritage, or habit. The crane stands as a mirror to the human spirit, choosing its own rhythm, outgrowing the old self, and finding freedom in authenticity. It is a celebration of authenticity-of living the life you choose, not the one scripted for you.
