ECO-INK + EXPERIMENTAL PRINTMAKING
Join us as we explore the "pigmented possibilities of plants!"
This is a one-day / two-part immersive workshop that will explore both natural pigment-making and experimental printmaking.
PART 1: NATURAL PIGMENT MAKING
PART 2: EXPERIMENTAL PRINTMAKING
This course will be led by two multidisciplinary artists: Ashley Hamilton and Mary Barnett, who are both passionate about play-based exploration of place and curiosity-driven experimental art processes. You can learn more about them and their individual work at the links below:
In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful lands of Moore Farms Botanical Garden to forage for natural art supplies, learn how to make natural pigments from gathered plant material, and be guided on how to create original art prints using foraged material and experimental techniques.
We look forward to you joining us for this unique, play-based art-making experience!
The workshop cost includes all material needed.
All we ask is for you to bring an open mind, a big dose of curiosity, and your creative spirit!
The workshop is suitable for ages 16+ and will take place in an outdoor environment with walking involved so please dress accordingly.
We will be taking an hour in between sessions for lunch. Light refreshments will be provided but feel free to bring your own lunch.
Although we are not open to the public on a daily basis, you can view our dynamic, breathtaking property through tours, events, or by taking one of our camps or classes.
