The tree roots provide the element of design. I just bring it out for you to see. I am always looking for roots. My family and I live in the Ozark Mountains near Fayetteville, Arkansas. The roots from the rivers are my favorite. They must really work to hold on. I graduated from The University of North Texas with a B.F.A. I had worked with stained glass 10 years prior to moving here. After moving here, I was soon inspired by the unique growing roots I found. It has been 10 years since that first overwhelming feeling when I knew I had something new. I create dragons, birds, turtles, butterflies, and all kinds of critters. I also create abstract pieces. Most are hung on the wall, some are 3D in the round, and some end up being mobiles. It all depends on what the root wants to do. I have exhibited in Texas, Arkansas, Nevada, New York, Las Vegas, and Chicago. I was recently featured in the Fayetteville Insider’s Guide. My message to the world is to balance humans and nature.
